for being a nirvana "frik" you dont know much about his gear.That was a moddified 1993 Fender Mustang Made in Japan,it had a tune-o-matic bridge 500k pots and a Seymour Duncan JB Humbucker in the bridge pickup position and a locked down tail piece.The Jag-Stang was not given to him until early 1994 and was only used during a few shows in the European In Utero tour.

actually the neck is an exact replica of his famed 1965 sunburst Jaguar,Mustang necks are a little(very little) bit wider than that of a Jaguar.I have a Jag-Stang.its got a dimarzio H3 humbucker and a fender custom shop 59-61 single coil.I still think they should have made them with a high output Mustang single coil Duncan JB humbucker and tune-o-matic bridge,but its still an amazingly bad ass guitar.

no,the Ferrington wasnt a real Fender like this one,it was also a hardtail bridge guitar like a gibson and it had heart shaped inlays.
